Visiting Anzac Cove is a dual edged sword, you experience the overwhelming emotion and pride in being Australian while at the same time you realise, on a broader scale the futile personal toll of war.ﾠ Many graves have the inscription ‘Dearly loved Son of’, ﾠthis along with Ataturks message, brings to the forefront that tears were shed on both sides and that these brave soldiers who respected each other, all believed they were serving country.ﾠ The quote ’for your tomorrow, we gave our today’ is very poignant.
